Keira's Evidence of Learning

Yesterday LC2 4 and 7 went to the Bruce mason center to learn about acting and what the people who work there do. At the start my group got to make a play we got to choose what we wanted to do. We could pick from doing acting, doing the lighting or being a stage manager. I chose to be a stage manager and I wore a headset I got to call on the actors. That was fun. After that my group got to watch a play. Later we did some dances and we also had to do some balancing. That was cool. Here are some pictures. ↓  

For the past few days. LC7 group 3 have been working on designing a new playground. On the first day we went to the playground to get some ideas for our playground designs. After we collected our ideas we went wrote up three tally charts. After that we went around the school asking other students about what they want on the new playground. Then after that we drew a design on paper of what the new playground could look like. After that we went and look at the other student drawing and gave them feedback so they could improve their drawing.

Lately for immersion we have been working with Jess and Sarah to learn about drama and acting. We learnt how to use our voice and our emotions we also learnt how to have confidence when making a show or a play. when we were doing immersion we had to make a little play and it had to say the words love winter and sorry in the play. and now I know what to do when I am involved in a play.

Last term (term two) LC7 was learning about different kinds of energy. When Amy was teaching us about kinetic energy she told us that we were going to go on a trip to an adventure park to learn about the way our kinetic energy can make the luge and the Zipline move. It was lots of fun and interesting. I also made an explanation about energy here it is . ↓ Why People need Energy to Live People need energy to live. Energy is all around us but sometimes we forget. Exercise is a type of kinetic-energy. Exercise is good for you. When you are exercising you are using your muscles. Using your muscles is good for you. It will help you become stronger and healthier so then you won't become a couch potato. Transport is another type of  kinetic-energy. On Monday last week(22.08.17) LC7 presented their projects to our families and LC4 we had lots of fun. I was working on earning a science badge I earned my badge at the perfect time just before I was about to present so then I could put it on display. My project is on the subject botany. Botany is a subject about flowers trees and plants. I learnt a lot about botany I made a plant press I made a t-shirt logo and a seed collection. For term 3 lately I have been been doing sewing. Im making a cubby organiser. Im working in the advanced sewing group. I have been working very hard on this cubby organiser I am now up to the sewing part. My Process I stared of drawing a sketch and then I cut the pieces of the sketch out and then pined it on to my fabric and then I cut it out and now I have just started to sew the hem.
